CES Assistant Principal/Campus Behavior Coordinator

It has been a joy to have been at Center ISD for the past eleven years and I am excited about serving in my new position as Assistant Principal at Center Elementary.

I have been a 3rd grade teacher, teaching both self contained classrooms and team teaching for ten of my years at Center Elementary. For the majority of that time I taught Reading, Writing and Social Studies. This past year I served as the Reading Specialist for Center Elementary. During this time I worked with 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade students who needed reading intervention, as well as organized the Reading Cafe Program, and assisted teachers with instructional planning. In December of 2018, I completed my master’s degree in Educational Leadership (K-12) at Stephen F. Austin State University.

My husband and I recently celebrated our 15-year wedding anniversary and we have two amazing children that keep us on our toes. Lilly, our strong willed, independent, vivacious daughter who will be starting Middle School at CMS this year and Gavin, our inquisitive, funny and extremely social 5 year old who will be in Kindergarten at F.L Moffett. We are active members of Mt. Calvary Church and are excited about our new adventures.

As a lifelong resident of Shelby County I have been blessed to be part of such a caring and giving community. I look forward to  giving back to the students, staff and community at Center ISD in my new role as Assistant Principal.
